A rising Real Madrid star lashed out at the club over his teammates’ snub

Gonzalo García Torres’ rise was one of the most promising developments for Real Madrid and Xabi Alonso this summer, and arguably a highlight of the Club World Cup. The 21-year-old won the Golden Boot with four goals, starting every game and adding one assist.

Despite García’s impending departure from Real Madrid six weeks ago, it now appears he will remain in the first team under Alonso. Real Madrid has agreed to a contract extension, and he will become one of the primary replacements for Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Junior in attack.
