An Arsenal winger has attracted interest from Turkey this month

In a recent report, Sozcu claimed that Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard has attracted interest from Turkish sides this month. Beşiktaş is understood to be eager to sign the Belgian winger from the north London club this summer.
Trossard’s impressive performances for the north London club last season
Trossard has been in excellent form recently for the Premier League club, excelling in attack. The Belgian prodigy contributed 10 goals and 10 assists in 56 appearances for the Gunners last season.
The 30-year-old averages 2.55 shots per game in the Premier League, often striking from the left wing, with a 29.2% accuracy rate. Trossard’s pass completion rate is a staggering 74.5% in the English top flight, demonstrating his excellent distribution of the ball (data from fbref.com).
His current contract with the north London club expires at the end of this season. Therefore, it makes sense for Mikel Arteta to try to offload him this summer, otherwise he could lose him on a free transfer next year.
Should Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta cash in on Trossard this month?
Trossard is an excellent dribbler and is adept at creating scoring chances for his teammates. He has a powerful long-range shot and can contribute to the team by both scoring and creating important goals.
However, Trossard is not currently a regular starter for Arsenal, having fallen behind Gabriel Martinez and Eberechi Eze in Mikel Arteta’s pecking order.
At 30, Trossard needs to ensure regular first-team starts if he wants to achieve the most in the remainder of his career. Therefore, it’s fair for Arsenal to release him this month.
Furthermore, Trossard’s contract is expiring soon. Therefore, Arteta should sell him as soon as possible and use the money earned from his sale to strengthen the team’s other matchday squad during the January transfer window.
