Bayern Munich Pushes to Sell Kim Min-jae

According to Sport Bild reporters Christian Falk and Julien Agadi, Bayern Munich appears to be serious about selling center-back Kim Min-jae, who came off the bench against Tottenham Hotspur.

If you believe the report, the situation sounds quite grim:

Kim Min-jae is currently the player Bayern’s managers want to sell the most. The club is putting pressure on him to sell quickly and is prepared to listen to every offer for the South Korean defender. Upamecano and Tah are the obvious starting center-back pairing this season. If Kim Min-jae moves on, Saudi Arabia is unlikely to be his destination. Bayern will be actively searching the transfer market for a replacement.

Since Tah signed as a free agent, the Tah-Upamecano pairing seems to be a foregone conclusion. With rumors circulating that Kim Min-jae is reluctant to play as a backup, such a deal could trigger a transfer frenzy. One issue could be the defender’s salary, which is rumored to be €12 million per season, which would rank 11th in the squad according to Capology.
