Bundesliga insiders suggest Harry Kane could return to the Premier League

Reports suggest the England international could return to his former club in the Premier League.

However, the renowned striker is understood to be enjoying his time with the reigning Bundesliga champions.

Would other Premier League teams be interested in Kane?

Liverpool had been urged to test Harry Kane before signing Hugo Ekitik.

However, with the Merseysiders likely to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United this summer, that potential avenue seems permanently blocked.

Harry Kane Doesn’t Want to Return to the Premier League

That’s not to say the English player’s mindset won’t change in the future. However, Kane and his family are currently settled in Munich.

Official negotiations regarding his future are scheduled for the summer of 2026, when the Bavarians will likely consider extending their partnership.

“There is no truth to the claim that Harry Kane wants to return to England after the 2026 World Cup,” Christian Falk exclusively told CaughtOffside.

The England international’s contract includes a clause that must be exercised during the winter break in order to become effective in the next summer transfer window.

The striker, already 32, has a contract that expires in 2027. However, negotiations between the club and the player are not expected to take place until the summer of 2026.

It’s worth emphasizing that Kane feels very comfortable in Munich. He relishes winning titles, and at Bayern, he’s become obsessed with them. Now, he wants more!

Kane’s performances for Bayern Munich have been eye-catching.

Will a fairytale reunion happen at Tottenham Hotspur?

In the distant future, the Englishman might find it hard to resist returning to the club that made him famous.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether Tottenham’s current striker woes will continue to plague them after the World Cup.

If this were indeed the case, and Kane were willing to return to Tottenham, it would be difficult (though perhaps conceivable) to find a majority of fans opposed to the move.

The 32-year-old Bayern Munich striker remains one of Europe’s most devastating attackers. Who can guarantee that his quality won’t decline significantly in a year or two?

Why would the striker push for an early departure?

As it stands, he plays for a highly competitive Bayern Munich team. He’s already lifted the Bundesliga title, and arguably should have gone further than the knockout stages of the Champions League in the 2024/25 season.

Since joining in the summer of 2023, Harry Kane has scored 85 goals and provided 26 assists in 96 appearances.
