Liverpool Plans to Sign Bayern Munich’s Michael Oliseh
The 23-year-old’s impressive performances for Crystal Palace impressed the Bundesliga champions and prompted them to sign him last summer.
The Frenchman made an impressive debut at the Allianz Arena, scoring 17 goals and providing 18 assists in all competitions. He also scored three goals and provided two assists in five appearances at the Club World Cup.
Oliseh has continued his prolific season, scoring four goals in four appearances across all competitions. According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool has begun searching for a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who will turn 34 next year.
The Bayern Munich star is at the top of Liverpool’s transfer list, and the club may finalize a deal for his signature next summer or the summer after, as the Egyptian’s current contract expires in 2027.
According to Transfermarkt, Olise’s market value is estimated at around £87 million, with four years remaining on his current deal. Therefore, Bayern Munich is in no rush to sell him, which means Liverpool would have to make an offer they can’t refuse to convince them to let him go.
Olis joins Liverpool
Like Salah, Olise is a left-footed right winger who also excels at playing as a central midfielder. He possesses technical prowess, capable of dribbling past defenders in tight spaces, scoring from set pieces, and creating chances efficiently for his teammates.
Olis has become one of Bayern Munich’s finest strikers, but he hasn’t yet reached his peak. Therefore, signing him would be a huge coup for Liverpool.
Meanwhile, although Salah’s career is nearing its end, he remains in excellent physical condition and can maintain his top-level performance for years to come. Last season, he almost single-handedly led the Reds to the Premier League title.
It will therefore be interesting to see how the Merseyside club ultimately adjusts their right-wing lineup in the coming years.
