Manchester United “dream” to sign Brighton star Carlos Baleba

Manchester United has contacted the player’s agent to inquire about his willingness to join, and the midfielder is “open” to a move to Old Trafford.
However, with the transfer window closing in less than four weeks, reaching an agreement in principle with the Seagulls will be extremely difficult, as they do not want to let him go. They would only change their stance if they received a “crazy” offer, as the midfielder’s current contract runs until 2028.
After Moises Caicedo joined Chelsea for a huge transfer fee, the Seagulls decided to sign the 21-year-old from Lille to replace the Ecuadorian international.
The young player initially needed some time to adjust to the intensity and physicality of the Premier League, but performed well last season.
Now, on GiveMeSport, Romano stated that Ruben Amorim is looking to bring in a dynamic midfielder to embody his high-intensity style of football, and the Red Devils have identified Baleba as a “dream” target.
Baleba Joins Manchester United
Baleba is a skilled midfielder who can easily receive the ball even under pressure. He possesses excellent ball control and reads the game well defensively. The African player is left-footed, but is also adept with his right foot and capable of long passes.
Manchester United currently has Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte, and Kobe Mainu as the core of their midfield. However, Casemiro’s athleticism has declined, and Mainu’s pace is not the fastest on the field.
Ugarte contributes well defensively but lacks ball control. Therefore, Manchester United needs a new midfielder, and signing Baleba before the end of this transfer window would be a huge coup.
Concurrently, due to the team’s goal-scoring problems last season, Amorim has decided to restructure their forward line. They have brought in Mateus Cunha and Brian Mbemo to strengthen the central midfield position, and Manchester United is about to sign Benjamin Cesco from RB Leipzig to strengthen the center forward position.
Rasmus Højlender and Joshua Zirkzee struggled to find the net last season, so Amorim has prioritised bringing in a new number nine and is reportedly ready to sell Højlender.
