Despite finishing 15th in the Premier League last season, the Red Devils are looking to make ambitious signings this summer to equip Ruben Amorim with the necessary tools to turn things around next season.

After acquiring proven Premier League players like Bryan Mbemo and Mateus Cunha, Manchester United is close to finalizing the transfer of Benjamin Cesco, considered one of the world’s most talented young strikers.

In addition, Amorim is looking to add a dynamic midfielder to complement his high-intensity style of football. Manchester United has identified Brighton’s Carlos Baleba as a key option and has held talks with the player and the Seagulls regarding a deal.

According to Fitzach, given Andre Onana’s inconsistent performances, Manchester United is planning to improve their goalkeeping position and has considered Donnarumma a key option.

The Italian goalkeeper is entering the final year of his contract, and Paris Saint-Germain is hoping to sign him to a new, bonus-based deal. However, the player’s agent was not happy with the proposal, believing that Donnarumma is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and his salary should reflect that.

Donnarumma Joins Manchester United

Paris Saint-Germain is close to reaching an agreement to sign Lucas Chevalier to replace the former AC Milan star and is willing to sell the Italian goalkeeper to avoid a free transfer next year.

Manchester United hopes to capitalize on this opportunity to sign the 26-year-old. However, the deal will not be easy for the Old Trafford club, as Manchester City and Chelsea are also considering signing him.

Despite Chelsea’s strong goalkeeping squad, none have demonstrated consistency. Therefore, Enzo Maresca seems willing to invest in a top-tier goalkeeper to close the gap with Liverpool.

On the other hand, Manchester City recently decided to bring James Trafford back, so it would be a huge surprise if they signed another goalkeeper this summer.

Donnarumma is undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and he showed his quality in last season’s Champions League, helping Paris Saint-Germain win the title. Therefore, it would be a huge coup if Manchester United or Chelsea eventually choose to sign him.
