Real Madrid Confirms Number 9 Jersey

In recent weeks, there has been much discussion about who will become Real Madrid’s future number 9. Luka Modric’s departure and Kylian Mbappé’s switch to number 10 left the iconic number up in the air, and the club has now made a decision.

Enderrick was originally expected to leave Real Madrid this summer.

Enderrick’s receipt of the number 9 jersey represents a significant turnaround for his situation. Earlier this summer, reports surfaced that Real Madrid was considering a move for him, with Kylian Mbappé and Gonzalo forming the club’s front two for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

However, Enderle has made it clear that he has no plans to leave Real Madrid on loan. While this statement was not endorsed by club officials, it did not prevent them from handing the young Brazilian the No. 9 jersey.

There are currently two candidates vying for the number 9 jersey: Enderrick Felipe and Gonzalo García. The former was expected to wear the number 9 jersey at some point during his Real Madrid career, but the latter’s appearances in recent months have raised some questions, especially given recent reports that the 21-year-old would be the winner of the race.

That has not been the case. According to The Athletic, Real Madrid has decided that Enderrick will be the club’s new number 9 and may announce the news before the start of the new season next weekend.
