Tottenham Hotspur plans a bold move for Manchester City striker Savinho

Despite the arrivals of Matthijs Ter and Mehmet Kudus from Bayern Munich and West Ham United, respectively, Tottenham still needs further attacking reinforcements if they are to maintain their peak form through the 2025/26 season.
According to GiveMeSport, the Lilywhites are interested in signing Manchester City winger Savinho, one of last season’s Premier League breakout stars and an indispensable player under Guardiola.
After a decade at Spurs, Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min joined Los Angeles Football Club in the US. He has been a fantastic addition to the team, winning the Europa League, their first trophy in nearly two decades, in May.
Son’s departure leaves a significant gap in Tottenham’s attack, as he has been the team’s top scorer in recent years and his influence has been significantly enhanced following Harry Kane’s move to Bayern Munich in 2023.
Savinho Won’t Leave Manchester City for Tottenham
Savinho—valued at £43 million by Transfermarkt—would be a bargain for Tottenham, as he can play on either wing, as a number 10, or as a deep-lying creative midfielder, but he’s unlikely to leave the Etihad Stadium anytime soon.
Last season, he made 48 appearances for Spurs in all competitions. With Jack Grealish no longer in Guardiola’s plans and Bernardo Silva nearing the end of his Chelsea career, Savinho’s future will be even more prominent.
While Manchester City may not be at their peak form in the 2024/25 season, they remain a serious title challenger and a worthy Champions League threat.
That being said, it will be interesting to see how his career develops a year from now, and whether Rayan Cherki’s arrival at City from Lyon will have an impact on Savinho’s place in Guardiola’s squad.
